Two up can be built with a hard top wheelhouse, cuddy cabin, centre console or can be customised to suit any particular requirement. It can also be extended 0.5 metres by fitting an extra frame.

|
| Other Info: |
3mm plate on frames cut from rectangular tube giving a return on toe. Can be built inverted or upright and while being a little more difficult to build than a monohull has presented no difficulties to its many builders, most of whom had previous fabrication skills. Power catamarans have a unique place among Australian offshore designs and builders of Two Up have not been disappointed with the performance of their boats

| Comments: |
Single chine conventional shaped catamaran with top performance. Can be built upright or inverted. Distance between hull about one third of beam.

are catamarans easier to build than conventional v-hulls

I would like to know if this design can be customised to be 6.1 to 6.4 meters long with a 2.5 to 2.7 meter beam, with cabin layout to sleep 4 and still have room for fishing, plus have the option of outboard or inboard/outboard legs. AND do the plans include dxf plasma cutter files.

 |
Is this the same boat as the Riki Cat shown in the construction area? If not is information available on the Riki Cat?
|
 |
will this desin work with 2.7 meter beam?

I have been considering building a catamaran for commercial crabbing.I have been considering the z cat. However I know just how sea worthy these hulls can be.would the two up be suitable to use as a displacement hull for this purpose with twin 30hp engines on the extended version. Also would the design be rugged enough or is this hull really only for pleasue use.

I see you are getting a lot of interest in single engine cats, 1, what are the associated problems with going to a single engine? 2, can they be cured by the fitting of a jacking plate? 3, if I purchased a plan and wanted to run a single outboard would you include a splitter in the plan? 4, Did cecil design that cab in 1954? 5, how does the built boat sit in the water ie, bow down, stern down or level?
