Typical Plan Quality and detail

Typical sheets of a drawing set showing the arrangement, sial plan and main construction.

These are provided here to demonstrate what to expect in our plans.
We are available to plan purchases via email to assist where possible. Every builder seems to ask a different question, we understand this and don't want you to hold back in asking questions.

Arrangement Drawing Of South Sea

The arrangement drawing consists of plan view, sectional el;evation on centre line and a series of transfers sections.( not shown in this scan)

Sail Plan of Sea Mist

Is aptofile view of the hull rig and sails and includes a table of sail areas and the position of effort of the sails and the hull.
Today a drawing such as this is also used to obtain quotations from aluminium spar makers.

Construction Plan of South Sea

The overall construction assembly in plan elevation and sections are shown. Individual details of connections, engine seatings and such items are also shown on this plan or on a seperate plan. For may designs a building jig drawing is laso supplied.

Lines plan

Typical lines plan for a small aluminium boat. This design comes with full sised patterns. However a simplified table of offsets is also on the plan. The lines plan gives the actual shape of the boat

Full sized Patterns

Some plans are supplied with full sized paper patterns. Shown are the full sized patterns for the Maler aluminium boat. Note patterns are for frame shapes and stem shape.
