Hello,Could you please advise what the deadrise is on the Albatross MK2,and also could the beam be increased about 6 inches?Would this involve major plan/building changes? Thanks Peter..

Hello from vancover island canada
I would like to know how stable this boat is at dead stop as I would like to use it for bottom fishing and am looking for a stable fishing platform.
I would also like to use 3/16 plat for bottom and transom and increase the h/p to 115 will this boat handle it. I would also like to know if this boat could be disigned with walk through windshield and self bailing bow platform.

Thankyou Robert Daffurn

1.what are the adavantages of using tublar keel stem and chines.
2.are the full size plans on mylar
3.is the deck welded and self drainang
4. what speed with a 55hp
5. any idea of materials for hull aus $

Are there any other deck layouts exept the central console in the Full Plan set ? Foredeck cabin version would be very useful to have too.

can you please email prices in australian dollars? Thankyou.

Albatross Mk2. aluminium - can it be made with a internal fuel tank (60-100 litres) under the floor , also what is the recomended transom weight for single outboard - would a 90hp Tohatsu TLDI weighing 143kg be OK.Also what speed would this reach. Thanks Jeff

Hi i wanted to know how much it would cost to buy the alloy for the albatross mk 2?
How many hours would it take to build it?
What is the cost of the plans in australian dollars?
Do the plans come with all configurations eg. c/console, cuddy cab, falf cab?

Albatross Mk2 - Can it be made with a length of 4.8 metres and a Beam of 2.13 metres - Also what would the maximum HP rating be. In the Boat Details table what is the LWL measurement refering to.thanks

My cousin and I were thinking of buying the plans and building one boat each. is this allowed or would we be required to buy two sets of plans. Thanks.

to ask the question in is het posible to make the boat 6,50 metres,

could you make it to 5.5 meters with the beam remaining the same

HI, I'm doing my homework on all the diffrent plate alloy D.I.Y boats around 4.6 to 5m for a 60 e-tec and most of the designs seem to have self draining decks, is this OK ? and how much different does this make to stability ? also, what would be the handling differents between a constant deadrise(chine?) and a reverse stepped chine?

can you increase the length to 5.5m with the beam remaining the same.

what is the height of the sides from the floor to the top rail.

i have the pdf thanks . on your web page it shows the hull and sides at 3mm, the pdf shows 4mm ,has it been down sized. if so has the ribs and stringers change in thinkness also

what is the approx cost in alliminium for this boat.
would 70hp be ok and what speeds would it reach.
would 2.5 plate be better suited to a 70hp, and would this be tough enough for some close offshore fishing in the right hands.
also could the center sonsole be moved forward to allow for a game chair at the rear to suit my fishing needs

hi there this is probably old hat but can i extend the 5.27 albatross to 5.5?

can i use an alloy plate floor if so how much weight will this add? (extra length plus floor, only 70 hp outboard too?)

The under floor floatation, is it pumped in after the floor is welded, or placed in in chunks beforehand?

What other basic fitout items are to be considered into budget? ie feul tank, steering wheel/ steering, lights, bilge pump etc...

also if i order plans what is the turn around time?

Hello I would like to inquire as to the feasability of building the Albatross in steel. What would the recommended plate thickness be and what would be the tube size for the stem keel and chine bars. Thank you

Hi Brian, I was wondering what the possibility was of having a raised sheer line maybe 50mm or so back and 150mm or so forward similar to the sea-boat and maybe a lightweight center-cab?
Also is it possible to take out frames above the floor eg. to make it easier to walk around a center-cab?
Thanks Vernon

Hi Brian, thanks for your info and quick response. I was thinking more along the lines of a raised cranked sheerine where we just extend the frames to suit witout having to redesign the sheerline.
Thanks Vernon

I would like it to be 4.8mt .
Will this take a 50hp 4 stroke approx 110kg.
Will this reduce the max load to 5 person.
Would it be ok for the bottom to be 4mm and sides 3mm and a ply floor
How long are the longest sections to be folded eg gunrail section

Are there cnc files available for this plan?
Thanks
